Separate attention from action
Views describe exposure. They do not tell the whole story of whether someone understood the brand, wanted to return, or took the next step. Decide which question each metric is meant to answer.
Read engagement in context
Likes, comments, shares and saves represent different responses. Look at the content and the conversation together. A small, relevant discussion can offer a useful creative direction even when a post is not the largest in the report.
Choose a meaningful next step
For a neighborhood restaurant, useful actions might include menu visits, directions or reservation clicks. For a product brand, the question could be whether interest reaches the product page. Pick the action before planning the content.
Compare like with like
Use the same reporting window and distinguish paid distribution from organic posts. Keep a record of what was published so changes in format, frequency or campaign activity are visible alongside the results.
Turn the review into a decision
End each review with a small set of choices: repeat a format, change a message, answer a common question or stop an idea that is not helping. The purpose of a report is to inform the next piece of work.
